The Story Behind Bath
Essentials by Ani
Welcome! And thank you for taking interest in my blog and my products.
I am originally from South Dakota and moved to California in my early teens. When I first came to Chico, California, I fell in love with a mom and pop shop in our downtown that made and sold bath products. Ever since I've always dreamed of owning a similar shop of my own. I proceeded to get my business degree, started working in an office and got married. I always though about wanting to open my own store but there always seemed to be a reason to put it off.
Then my sweet nephew passed away. At his celebration of life they talked about the dash between his date of birth and the date he died. About how much he'd accomplished by age 25, composing music and having two albums released. He accomplished his dreams, while most of us just keep dreaming. This stuck with me.
I decided I would start following my nephews example and try to make my bath shop a reality. I started by researching how to make handcrafted bath products, especially products that would use fruits, vegetables and herbs from my garden. After a year of experimenting with recipes and perfecting my techniques, I am finally ready to open my first shop.
I hope you enjoy my products, they were made with heart, thoughts of my nephew, and some with natural ingredients from my garden.
